I have heard a lot of people talking about standing desks and treadmill desks lately. I hate that I have a job that requires me to sit for most of the day, so I decided I would give a treadmill shelf a try. I figured it would be a good way to get some extra walking in while still getting some work done. I ordered the "SurfShelf Treadmill Desk: Laptop and iPad Holder" which, according to the description, can hold a laptop, iPad or DVD player. It can be attached to a treadmill, stationary bike or elliptical machine. Since I already own a treadmill, it was the most cost effective option at around $40. Because I have only used it for a treadmill and with a laptop, that is what I will focus on in my review. |

If you are paleo and happen to live in (or are visiting) San Diego, I highly suggest you check out Candelas On The Bay. Even if you are not paleo you will want to visit this place because it has a great menu and amazing views. You can sit outside on the deck and enjoy the sunshine, or sit inside by the huge glass window and do some people watching. Either way it is a great location with awesome food (and great happy hour prices for those that want an adult beverage). I was told that Candelas had a paleo and gluten-free menu, but I was amazed at how many options they had that were already paleo, or could be made paleo upon request. Ceviches, salads, appetizers and entrees....I had a hard time deciding what to pick! We settled on an appetizer called the Estructura de Aguacate (top right in the photo) which was a tower of avocado, scallops, shrimp, crab, parsley, lime, tomato and onion and served with basil and mango vinaigrettes. It was refreshing and very tasty. |
