PALEO ALMOND BUTTER AND GRANOLA APPLES

I feel bad even calling this a "recipe" because it is so easy to throw together, but these are a delicious snack that both adults and kids can enjoy.
For this recipe I used Steve's PaleoGoods PaleoKrunch, which is a pre-made gluten-free, grain-free granola that is paleo friendly and great to have on hand. And if their delicious paleo-friendly food isn't enough for you to fall in love with Steve's PaleoGoods, you will also love that 15% of proceeds from sales go to Steve's Club National Program – a non-profit that brings fitness, nutrition guidance and mentorship to at-risk youth. You can also try my paleo granola recipe if you like!
The chocolate syrup on the apples is optional but adds a fun twist. For this recipe you can cut the apples into slices, or you can slice the apples horizontally, remove the core and make almond butter and granola sandwiches out of them. These are great for kids (or adult) lunches!

Ingredients:
- 1 large apple (your favorite kind), cored and cut into 6 slices
- 3 Tbsp. almond butter
- 3 Tbsp. Steve's PaleoGoods PaleoKrunch (or make your own paleo granola)
CHOCOLATE SYRUP DRIZZLE (OPTIONAL):
- 2 Tbsp. cacao powder
- 1 Tbsp. coconut oil
- 1 tsp. raw honey
Equipment:
- Measuring spoons
- Apple slicer and corer
- Small saucepan
- Stirring spoon
Directions:
1. Spread each apple slice with 1/2 Tbsp. of almond butter. Dip the apple slice into the granola or sprinkle evenly over the top. (Note: You may need to break apart the PaleoKrunch a little bit before using because it comes in nice big chunks!)
FOR THE CHOCOLATE SYRUP DRIZZLE:
1. Heat the coconut oil and raw honey in a small saucepan until melted, stirring to combine. Stir in the cacao powder until well combined and drizzle over the apples.
