BODY SCRUB

Body scrubs are a great way to remove old, dry skin and leave your skin feeling soft and smooth. Many store-bought scrubs are very expensive and full of chemicals. This recipe is all-natural, easy to make, and inexpensive. This scrub makes an indulgent treat for yourself and it also makes great gifts to give to friends and family.
You will find that I use almond oil, coconut oil and essential oils in some of my other DIY recipes such as lotion bars and body butter, so you can buy them and make a variety of recipes from just one jar. We spend a lot of time worrying about what we put IN our bodies, but what we put ON our bodies is equally important.
I like to keep a jar of scrub in the shower and rub it on my dry skin. I then rinse it off in the shower and my skin is so soft afterwards (and smells great). You can experiment with the ratio of salt and oil, and also try out different essential oils to find your favorite, and combine different oils to make your own unique scent. Lavender and Vanilla is my favorite, especially if I use it right before bed. I also like to keep a jar next to the sink and rub it over my dry arms and hands and then rinse. It's like a 60 second mini spa treatment!
